Mappe Maps
Escape, loss, memory, voices, lights left behind, some found, silence. Places unknown to the great directives and important to other geographies, roads from other millennia, paths now faded by the growth of vegetation, ports and landings.
Drawing maps that do not help us orient ourselves, showing the world from a single point, and from there exploring distances, even temporal distances. Maps that are a centuries-long overlay of paths on top of each other, a continuous transparent excavation in which the direction of the path is not clear either on water or on land, and in either cases is deleted.
